Mirise Global Academy trains clinicians to work across the line between dentistry and medicine. We teach and do research from two places: a campus in Oiso for courses and residencies, and a clinic in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, where the work meets real patients. The academy is young. Background
Gum disease and tooth loss track closely with diabetes, heart disease and dementia. The evidence is not new. What is missing is clinicians trained to act on it.
Japan is aging first, and much of Asia is close behind. Keeping people healthy for longer takes prevention and lifelong care, and that takes teachers.
They are trained separately, licensed separately and paid separately. Much of the harm happens in the gap between them.
XR lets a trainee practice a procedure two hundred times instead of ten. That changes what can be taught, and to whom.
What we build in Tokyo is meant to be tested, argued with and reused by colleagues in Seoul, Riyadh or Jakarta.

Founder's Message
I am an orthodontist. I still see patients, and for years I have also run a group of clinics and healthcare companies. Practice taught me one thing the textbooks underplay: the mouth is where systemic disease shows up early, and almost nobody is trained to look.
The problem is not knowledge. The papers exist. What is missing is the plumbing: a place where the evidence gets taught, tested against real clinics, carried into communities, and passed across borders. This academy is my attempt to build that plumbing.
The shape of it is simple. A campus in Oiso for teaching, research and international stays. A working clinic in Minami-Aoyama where ideas meet patients. Between the two, a loop. And because I believe education that cannot pay its own way cannot protect its own standards, we publish prices and dates, measure results, and report them.
Most of what this site describes is still ahead of us. That is the point. I am looking for people who want to design an institution, not join a finished one. Clinicians, professors, companies, officials, neighbors: the door is open.

Grand Prize and MedTech Award at the Forbes JAPAN Xtrepreneur AWARD 2026, for "the patient you can fail on": a next-generation medical-education platform built on patient-specific 3D clone models integrating CT, MRI and oral/facial scans (Mirise Well Medical Group, MEDIDENT Inc. and Nichinan Corporation).

I had the privilege of helping welcome Dr. Daisuke Tomita, Mr. Endo, Mr. Hori, and Dr. Mido Abdel Hakim to Stanford for a Tech Talk on "AI Unleashed: Transforming Creativity and Healthcare."
The 3D live clone face model showed our participants what becomes possible when medicine, design, advanced manufacturing, XR and AI come together. Students and trainees could engage directly with tangible innovation and imagine safer, repeatable and more effective ways to learn complex clinical skills.
To me, this is the value of industry-academic collaboration. Experts share real technologies and practical knowledge, while the learning community asks new questions and discovers new possibilities.
It was an honor to help bring this experience to Stanford. Congratulations again on this well-deserved recognition.

We have changed what we open with. The first program is a three-day clinical observation course at our Minami-Aoyama clinic for dentists, physicians, allied professionals and students from outside Japan, in small groups, starting October 2026. US$2,200, tax included. The Japanese-language domestic program follows after it.
For professors and researchers, we codified research value, concurrent-employment compatibility, and the selection process. A shareable Prospectus (PDF) and a confidential 30-minute dialogue booking page are now available.
