Teaching & Case Library (Preview)
Actual materials and cases will be delivered through the participant and faculty portal. Here we publish the formats we design our educational assets in — because format quality is a leading indicator of educational quality.
The following are format specimens. No real patient information or actual cases are included.
Lecture Module Specification
No lecture opens until this specification is complete.
- Module ID / version
- OSC-101 / v0.3 (version-controlled with change history)
- Learning outcomes (3–5)
- Written with action verbs, e.g. 'Stratify diabetes risk from oral findings and decide per referral criteria'
- Prerequisites / audience
- Explicit enough for self-assessment
- Structure (90 min)
- Intro 10 → Lecture 30 → Case work 35 → Assessment & debrief 15
- Assessment
- Exercise rubric + post-test (pass criteria published in advance)
- Evidence ledger
- Sources linked per major claim (update date and responsible faculty recorded)
- COI declaration
- Faculty COI attached per module
Case Template (De-identified Format)
Cases are chosen for reproducible decision processes, not rarity.
- De-identification
- Age in 5-year bands, relative dates, identifying features removed from images (third-party checked)
- Case structure
- Chief complaint, oral findings, systemic background → decision points → actual course → generalized lessons
- Explicit decision forks
- At least two designed 'what do you choose here, based on what?' points
- Interdisciplinary views
- Parallel commentary from dentistry, medicine, and nursing
- Consent management
- Linked records of educational-use consent and withdrawal procedures
XR Exercise Specification
A blueprint for repetition and feedback — not for 'immersion.'
- Pass standard
- Observable pass line (e.g., clear 12/12 critical steps three times in a row)
- Repetition design
- Distributed practice schedule (same day → +3 days → +2 weeks) built into the exercise
- Feedback
- Immediate feedback from operation logs; stumbling points aggregated for faculty
- Link to hands-on
- Correlation between XR performance and practical assessment accumulated as research data (co-analysis eligible)
- Equipment
- Venue equipment standard — nothing to bring; online portions pre-delivered
